Cookie Policy

What cookies are

Cookies, and similar storage such as local storage, are small pieces of data saved by your browser when you visit a website. They let a site remember your choices and help the owner understand how the site is being used.

The categories we use

  • Essential. Needed for the site to work. These keep you signed in to the admin area or business owner portal, remember your search and filter choices, and store your cookie decision. They are always active and cannot be switched off.
  • Analytics. Optional. These let us count page views, unique visitors, searches and which listings are being viewed, so we can improve the guide. They only run after you choose “Accept all”.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell any of the information these cookies produce.

Your choice

When you first visit, a banner asks you to accept all cookies or continue with essential cookies only. Your decision is stored in your browser under the key nph_cookie_consent. If you dismiss the banner without choosing, we treat it as essential only and no analytics are recorded.

Changing or withdrawing consent

You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site’s cookies and site data in your browser settings, then reloading the page. The banner will appear again and you can make a new choice. Clearing essential cookies will also sign you out of the admin area or owner portal.

Third-party services

Pages that embed a map, or a payment page hosted by Stripe, may set their own cookies under their own policies. Analytics for this site are recorded in our own database rather than with a third-party advertising network.

Changes to this policy

We may update this cookie policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page. See also our privacy policy.
