1. About Connect Perthshire
Connect Perthshire is an online guide to businesses, events, jobs and things to do across Perthshire, from Aberfeldy and Pitlochry to Perth, Crieff, Blairgowrie, Dunkeld and the surrounding towns and villages. These terms apply to everyone who uses the website and to every business that holds a listing with us.
2. Using the site
You may use the site to search for businesses, browse events and jobs, and contact listed businesses directly. You must not misrepresent yourself, submit false or unlawful information, scrape or copy our content automatically, or interfere with the operation or security of the site.
3. Business listings
Listings are created by our team, or by the business owner where they have been given a login. Listing content must be accurate, lawful and not misleading. We may edit, refuse, suspend or remove any listing that breaches these terms or that we consider harmful to users or to the reputation of the site.
Free listings are created by us at our discretion using publicly available information. They are basic by design and are not editable by the business. If you would like control over your listing, choose a paid plan.
4. Plans and pricing
- Free — no charge. A basic listing created by us, with limited detail and no branding, links, opening hours or additional images.
- Standard — £24.50 + VAT for the first month, then £49 + VAT per month. Rolling monthly subscription with no minimum term.
- Premium — £89 + VAT per month on a minimum six month term, after which it continues monthly until cancelled.
- Featured add-on — £40 + VAT per month on top of a paid plan. Only one business per category can be featured at a time, and a business may hold the featured slot for a maximum of three consecutive months. After three months the slot is offered to other businesses in that category; if no one else takes it, we will offer it back.
Prices are shown excluding VAT. Plan features, including image limits and where listings appear in results, are described on the pricing page and may be updated from time to time.
5. Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe acting as merchant of record. Stripe is the seller of record for the transaction and is responsible for charging and accounting for VAT and any other applicable sales tax. Stripe’s own terms apply at checkout, and your receipts and invoices are issued by Stripe.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. If a payment fails, we may suspend the paid features of a listing until payment is received.
6. Business owner accounts
Premium customers may be given a login to manage their own listing, images, events and job vacancies. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything posted from your account. Do not upload content you do not have the rights to use, and do not use the account to post anything unlawful, offensive or misleading.
7. Events and job vacancies
Events and job vacancies are supplied by the business posting them. We do not verify event details, availability, pay, contract terms or eligibility to work, and we are not a party to any application, booking or employment arrangement. Vacancies must comply with UK employment and equality law. We may remove any event or vacancy at our discretion.
8. Reviews and third-party content
Some listings display reviews, ratings, photographs or business information sourced from Google or other third parties. That content belongs to its original authors and providers, is shown for information only, and may be out of date or removed at source. We do not edit review content and we are not responsible for opinions expressed in it.
9. Intellectual property
The design, branding, layout, original text and original photography on this site belong to Connect Perthshire unless otherwise stated. By supplying content for a listing you confirm you have the right to do so, and you grant us a licence to display, resize and promote that content in connection with your listing and the site’s marketing.
10. Liability
We aim to keep information accurate and up to date, but we cannot guarantee that every detail is correct at all times, or that the site will always be available. We are not responsible for the goods or services provided by any listed business, or for any dispute between a user and a business.
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, and to the extent permitted by law, our total liability to a business customer is limited to the fees paid for the listing in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for loss of profit, business or anticipated savings.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version will always be published on this page, and continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Scotland, and the Scottish courts have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
13. Contact
For questions about these terms, please get in touch using the form on our list your business page.
