Based in Perth, Chansons is a chamber choir of around 40 singers drawn from across Perth & Kinross and Fife. Known for its rich, expressive sound and engaging performances, the choir will guide audiences through a musical journey inspired by stories, legends and songs from Britain and beyond.

At the heart of the programme is Bob Chilcott’s Aesop’s Fables, a witty and imaginative setting of four famous tales. Through lively rhythms, vivid harmonies and playful musical detail, these well-known stories are transformed into an entertaining choral experience for audiences of all ages. Familiar characters and timeless lessons are brought to life through the energy and personality of the choir.

The concert also features music by three living British composers, creating a programme that celebrates the continuing strength and creativity of contemporary choral music.
