Susan Calman: Tall Tales

Get ready for an evening of laughter, storytelling and brilliantly told “tall tales” as comedian, writer and broadcaster Susan Calman brings her brand-new live show to Perth Concert Hall on Thursday 17 September 2026. Marking her first UK tour in ten years, Tall Tales is a joyful, whip-smart and wonderfully unhinged night of comedy that sees Susan return to the stage with a fresh collection of stories, silliness and surprise.

Over the last decade, Susan has gathered a remarkable number of improbable adventures, and this show is her chance to share them. From cruising holidays and driving tanks to life with cats and the realities of getting older, she turns everyday experiences into hilarious, larger-than-life anecdotes. Some stories might be only slightly exaggerated. Others might be almost impossible to believe. All of them are guaranteed to entertain.

Known for her warm stage presence, sharp wit and infectious laugh, Susan has become a firm favourite with audiences across Scotland and beyond. Whether you have followed her career on television, radio or live stages, Tall Tales offers the perfect opportunity to experience her unique blend of storytelling and stand-up in an intimate theatre setting.

The show balances gentle, relatable observations with bigger, bolder tales, creating an evening that feels both personal and wildly entertaining. Susan’s ability to find humour in the ordinary, then stretch it into something extraordinary, makes for a performance that is as clever as it is funny. Audiences can expect plenty of laughs, a few gasps and the occasional moment of “did that really happen?”

Perth Concert Hall provides an ideal venue for this special night of comedy. With excellent sightlines, comfortable seating and a welcoming atmosphere, it is the perfect place to sit back, relax and enjoy an evening of first-class entertainment. The central location in Perth makes it easy to combine the show with a pre-theatre meal or a post-show stroll through the city.

Whether you are a long-time fan of Susan Calman or simply looking for a memorable night out, Tall Tales promises an enjoyable mix of humour, heart and storytelling. It is a show about life’s unexpected twists, the stories we collect along the way and the joy of sharing them with an audience.
